Sussex, WI–The Harriers matched their impressive season on the field with an impressive showing in the classroom, as 21 of Hamilton’s 35 players earned a 3.5+ GPA during the fall rugby season. Last season the team had 15 players earn a 3.5+ GPA.
Furthermore, the team’s collective GPA was 3.39, which is well above the school’s honor roll distinction of 3.0 and just .11 shy of the school’s high honor roll distinction of 3.5.
Eleven of Hamilton’s players made the “Dean’s List” by earning a 4.0 or greater last semester, including all three captains: Hannah Pfersch, Lauren Leonardi, and Sydney Raymond. Despite all the extra work that came with leading the team, the three captains still found a way to earn the three best GPAs on the team during the fall season, ranging from 4.41 to 4.25.
Hamilton RFC awards “Scholar Athlete” certificates to girls who earn at least a 3.5 during the fall rugby season. Certificates will be delivered this week.
