Sussex, WI–Hamilton RFC’s coaching staff just doubled in size, as the team added Eric Steinman of Waukesha to their coaching ranks.
Steinman had recently ended his playing career and was looking for an opportunity to return to the sport he loved in a new role. He comes to the team with almost 15 years of rugby experience. He played prop and hooker at Waukesha West High School, UW-Eau Claire, and for two men’s club teams: the West Side Harlequins and the Milwaukee Barbarians. He served as a player-coach for UW-Eau Claire in 2004 and 2005 and served brief stint as an adviser to the UW-Whitewater Women’s Rugby team in 2009.
He currently holds a level-200 coaching certification and a level-1 Officiating 15s certification from USA Rugby. Steinman traveled with Harlequins to the 2011 World Cup of Rugby in New Zealand where he played local clubs and watched the sport played at its highest level.
