Hamilton Players Join USA Rugby Camp

St Catharines, Ontario–Three Hamilton rugby players were invited to join the USA Rugby All-American XVs camp to tryout for the national U-18 team with possible inclusion on the squad that will play a friendly against Canada at the end of December. Hamilton had more players selected for this camp than any other single-school team in the nation, including national champion Catholic Memorial (2) and DSHA (1). This is one of the first steps in a path to being an Olympian.

Selected to camp (in order pictured) was Hamilton graduate and last year’s MVP Back Morgan Price (’19), team captain & back-to-back MVP Forward Hannah Pfersch (’20), and full back turned prop, Chloe Miller (’20).

The girls were scouted by USA Rugby at the Midwest Regional Cup tournament while they played for the Wisconsin All-Stars this spring. Pfersch was the tour captain and both Price and Miller scored big tries for the team in an undefeated campaign that saw them secure the varsity Midwest RCT trophy.

The camp runs from August 20th-24th.
