2023 Nationals Squad

Chargers Qualify as D1, Ranked 3rd

05/16/22 Following the conclusion of spring 15s seasons throughout the nation, the National High School Rugby committee determined that Hamilton rugby is one of the premier teams at the tournament and will participate in the division one bracket. They will join Catholic Memorial and Divine Savior Holy Angels as three Wisconsin teams that will be represented in the top bracket featuring nine teams. During the regular season last fall, Hamilton defeated CMH 53-7 and narrowly lost to DSHA in the state finals, 36-26. Hamilton’s 26-points was the most points scored by a single-school team against DSHA in the 2022 calendar year. Hamilton was the only team from Wisconsin to score a try against DSHA in the 2022 15s season. Hamilton will be looking to prevent DSHA from winning their third-straight national championship.

First Game Scheduled: Columbia Central (TN)

05/17/22 Hamilton will open the tournament against Columbia Central (TN) on Saturday (5/20) at 10:15am. Columbia Central was the team the Chargers defated (24-14) in the 6th place game at the 2022 National Tournament in Ohio. The game will be played in two 22.5 minute halves on the West Pitch. The Chargers will play again at 2:30pm against either Rocky Mountain (ID) or Orchard Park (NY). If Hamilton wins both games, they will play in the national championship on Sunday at 12:30pm. Losing either game will put them in a different bracket to play for seeds 3-8. Check out Hamilton’s performance last season in the 6th place game against Columbia by clicking here and skipping to the 1:28:00 mark.

JV Game Scheduled: City Honors (NY)

05/17/22 Coach Amanda “Snooki” Huber and at least seven Hamilton players will join other players and coaches from Wisconsin to play a JV side from City Honors RFC, a team out of Buffalo, New York. The game will be held Sunday at 8:30a on the West Field.
